I've watched this show on and off on Netflix for the past five years. Got really into it for the first five seasons. There were a couple seasons after that were a little weak and nonsensical but then the writing found it's footing again and the quality picked up again. I left off middle of season 11 or 12, something happened with one of the returning characters that upset me so much I cried and cried and had to stop watching. I'll probably come back to it though. What I like about the show is it's ability to bring characters back and keep the core gang of guys going together. As a cast you can tell they all love each other very much. What I wish they would do, which they haven't so far as I've seen, is to kill off the main two characters and make death more permanent. I think seeing one or both of them as non-human for an extended period of time is the natural progression of where the show should be going and it's a little disheartening to see them coming back time and time again. Makes the show a little too predicable that the brothers always save each other. But I'll keep watching it nonetheless. I really like the show's take on religion. Interesting spin.

This show is absolutely incredible. The plot is creative but not over-the-top. I feel like the characters make appropriate actions given their situations. The character development is wonderful to watch - definitely one of the best parts of the show. The writing is so so good, and the way they explain the story beyond words in season three is so cool and so deep, it could not have been explained better. The relationships in the show are so moving, I believe their feelings for each other whole-heartedly and the end of season three touched me so deeply I just sat on the couch for a good half hour after it ended, thinking about the character's lives and what's coming in season 4. Truly a remarkable show.
