This is a sweet fantasy romance that is going to entertain you audience. The lead female actress did really well in portraying a youthful, innocent, adaptable, and witty heroine. The chemistry between the leads is good. Apart from the main couple, other characters lack screentime for proper emotional developments and character exploration. Some interactions are forced. For example, the film tells us that the 2nd & 3rd princesses have a really close relationship, however, it was not established through any detail at the beginning of the drama. Even more illogical, if the heroine has just enter from another universe, she could not possess the type of close bond like that with the royal family. She should have seen the royal family whom she is staying with as strangers, and have to take time adjusting to them (this can be developed into some pretty interesting & comical situations). The royal family members should have noticed something weird or different about their beloved 3rd princess (Afterall, she comes from the modern world and will behave differently from others).
The film also possesses several illogical details and plot holes. For example, in the mine collapsing incident, I found it quite funny, in the ending scene, while Qian Qian face covered with dirt, helping miners out, the male lead, and several other healthy men were just in their clean clothes watching her (someone explained to me that he was preventing the royal army from reaching Qian Qian, but there should at least be some fighting scenes to show that he has also taken full duty on his side). Moreover, why the second princess, despite dearly loves her sister, would all of a sudden together with other chiefs wish to execute Qian Qian to death? Sure, she was envied of the mother's affections towards Qian Qian, but this couldn't be strong enough of a force to blow away her precious 19-year long bond with her sister - that would be a character's breakout. In the martial art challenge, filmmakers try to overdramatize the situation with Qian Qian being severely beaten in wait for the 1st princess. In reality, she could just take fewer hits, and use the same tactic to win the match and that result would still be impressive enough to pursuade her older sister to change.
All in all, the series still has many weaknesses that can be improved. However, we are watching webdrama like this mostly for entertainment value. And in that respect, "The Romance of Tiger & Rose" has achieved its success.
