Not sure - 3, 3.5 or 4 stars? And compared to what? I like it much more this 2nd airing. The scene (Jamestown 1600s) is enjoyable, but I often like historical fiction. (Historical non-fiction would be ideal, but it's not that easy to come by.) The characters are interesting & entertaining tho' the heroines have 20/21st century mindsets. These attractive & likeable women are kind, smart & spirited. It's amusing to see the lead (Jocelyn - yes, a beautiful, rich blond with upper class restraint) craftily navigate & influence her restrictive, threatening surroundings; fun to see the power plays, the misguided religiosity, a portrayal of relations with Indians, a range of male behavior. Aspects of these may have some truth to them. I'm only in a couple of episodes this time around. If it stays this good, I'll keep watching.
