This movie was well done. The acting was really good, the story line excellent. I have already seen the movie 4 times and bought the DVD.

I have just seen "An American in Paris" and was very disappointed. I expected to see a story about an American in Paris. All I saw was a lot of dancing and some singing. The only actor I noticed was Nina Foch. Lesie Caron acted like a zombie trying to find her way. Gene Kelly's acting was Gene Kelly and of course his dancing was excellent.
I thought there should have been more of a story.
