i don't agree on the critics comments. For me i like the tour de force acting of Glenn Close and Amy Adam. the acting is so natural and so real. yes there are flashbacks i thinks that is part of the story to make it clearer of the viewers. The physical transformation of Amy and Glenn was overwhelming and make them unrecognizable from their previous roles.. How they expressed their emotions is sheer delight to see and making them closer to their characterization. Overall i give acting 5 stars.
