Absolutely wonderful! It took me a very long time to actually watch it, but now I've seen it, I can not think of a better Christmas movie. This movie has become an instant tradition for me. I will be making sure my nieces and nephews watch this every Christmas! I love this film!

I found that the film tried to do to much and build an elaborate world without enough lore, leaving me as an audience member frustrated. On top of this, despite having beautiful (for their time) affects, their was poor character or costume design for a lot of the non-human beings. This being said, the actors (who didn't seem to have much chemistry) did what they could to render the audience emotional or attached.
