Peter Knobler

A touching movie about a group of complicated, difficult, prodigiously talented people. I knew the bare bones of stories about Guy and Susanna Clark and Townes Van Zandt but the film brought their characters alive, as well as the times through which they lived and the people with whom they shared them. The legacy music was extraordinary, as expected, but its context made the songs and their creation even more telling. The presence of people in their lives who have stories to tell was especially affecting. At least that's the way she feels.
