This movie was an obvious cash grab. My big question when going to watch this movie was “How will they make a FOURTH Toy Story interesting?” They answered it. THEY DIDNT. If you want a good movie to show the kids, rent Toy Story 1 or 2 and watch that. There was no reason to make this movie. It’s full of lazy, sloppy creative decisions that made it a chore to get through. The worst part was the plot. Throw away a cast of characters that people across America know and love. Make a new plot with new characters that aren’t as good, create a subpar plot with them and change it halfway through, destroying the tiny amount of character development that was done. This should not be called Toy Story. Call it anything else and it’s a 7.5. But this sticky ball of rolled up bad jokes, overused tropes, predictable plot points, and lukewarm dialogues is placing itself in the shadow of some of the greatest movies of ALL TIME. This is just nowhere close to stacking up. Don’t watch this. I can’t believe I’m saying this but i wish i would’ve watched Dark Phoenix instead.
