It could have a sequel i would watch it. I know it had a not known ending but thats how good movies end. We create the ending in our mind. They could have punished him for many laws broken. Kidnapping, neglect, not reporting to parole officer, leaving state without parole consent(he could've emailed) but telling the truth and even if a tough go to gain custody of Ella he coulda faught for her show her love. I guess he took the let go approach if meant to be she'll be back. I didnt like how the parole officer didn't show him how to do emails. And dear god he went shopping couldn't find her a outfit or two to change her. Overall the story is sweet i just thought there's more to it by description.
