Firstly, I donโt usually do reviews because every person that watches a movie or tv show will like or dislike different things. But, this show was so bad I had to warn people off it. I prefer to give new shows the benefit of the doubt, especially sci-fi shows such as this one. It can take time to build characters, settings, and storylines. However, even I have a limit. I could only make it through episode five before I called it quits. That may make my review biased or useless, but based on what I saw I could not force myself to click the play button once again. The first episode or two held some promise as I was interested in the concept and how the world would be portrayed if such an event were to occur. Then the secondโฆand thirdโฆand fourth episodes happened where I didnโt care for any of the characters and the plot simply dredged on. It felt as though the writers didnโt know how to make this a show rather than a short limited series or a movie and there was so little plot to keep me interested in each episode. Another downfall of this show is the main male lead. I do not know of him in anything else and Iโm sure the writing did not help, but I found him to be so arrogant, obnoxious, and horribly annoying to the point I couldnโt help but cringe every time he spoke. Overall, I feel Iโm being lenient with giving this show two stars, but Diane Lane (cast as Yorickโs mother) gave them one extra star.
