Gurren Lagann will forever be held dearly in my heart. The show starts as a fun lighthearted story with it's endearing cast. But soon, the show evolves. It's like when the characters grow up, so does the show. As the story shifts to cover more serious themes such as politics and moral dilemmas while still retaining the action packed show that it is. Simon and Nia are one of my favorite anime romances and I will never forget the bittersweet dou. I love how they can turn previously hated characters such as Kittan and Lordgenome into characters that you can not hate. Over all the show is one of the greatest anime of all time.
