I avoided reading reviews until I had played the game and I am glad that I chose to do it that way. This game is heavily based around story telling and allowing the player to think about perspective. Morality is explored more as something that wasnt as "black and white" as the majority of the first game did. We see sides and coping mechanisms of people who have had to live through the end of the world and how they try to stay sane. Ellie struggles with a lot of different emotions throughout the story and we can see how she reasons and deals with different events that happen to her. Anger is the predominant emotion that this story explores and it is a breath of fresh air to see anger done in a different way than just endless blood and gore. Gameplay has been improved slightly from the original with a strong emphasis on fluidity. When shot ellie will fall on her back from the impact and you can fire back from where knocked over rather than having to stand up first. New zombies, interesting and stressful boss fights and being rewarded for exploration make this game a worth while pick up for a unique and thought provoking story
