The last film that I saw with this degree of breathtaking suspense was "Argo." The film had audience members sitting on the collective edge of their seats and occasionally jumping out of them. This recreation of a true story—which captures the perils faced by everyday families living behind the Iron Curtain—is a must-see: warm, compelling characters; exquisite plotting and pacing; music that enhances the storyline while keeping to the background all contribute to a thoroughly thrilling experience.
