I was surprised that I quickly became very engaged with the characters and really cared about them. It is funny and quirky and addresses current social issues with a sprinkling of literary references. Great writing and the acting is first rate.

Some stellar performances. Emotionally exhausting to watch this deeply broken family. When so many are struggling to get by day by day in the middle of the covid pandemic this is not a "feel good" movie in any sense of the term. It is an opportunity to spend some time in one family's hell.

This is not a movie to go see if one is depressed about barely being able to stay in The City because of the high housing costs that are driving so many beautiful people out of their homes . The resolution the main character comes to is extremely disappointing, and in the end there is only failure and despair in this film, which is devoid of hope.
