Seemed like a redoing of another Gene Hackman film where he plays the part of a big time Senator who kills a woman and gets found out at the end. Different scenes of course on different venues however at the root somewhat the same. Superb acting and direction by Clint Eastwood; doesn't get any better than that. My problem was without CC I couldn't make out who got killed at the end...assumed the President and his Chief of Staff woman?????? Excellent movie in my opinion.

This movie of 1931 is one I will never forget. The focus on his eyes will forever be ingrained in my memory. Don't think I saw the movie until the early to mid 1940s. What an actor...stiff or not forever memorable.

I liked the movie and am a Neeson fan anyway. He is one bad ass! My only problem with the move is it's unlikely plot (to me anyway). What I saw was a snow plow driver who suddenly (and admittedly with good reason) decides to take on a big time operator Drug Lord and pretty much by himself. Nels suddenly becomes a "Black Ops" operator. I don't see it. Of course we don't know his background but if he had a spy type background then it should have been noted in the movie to help get over the glitch as I see it. Anyway certainly worth seeing.

Not sure why but I got lost after about 15 minutes as to who was who. Guess I just didn't see much depth in the characters to hold onto. The psychotic behavior of the alcoholic was quite un-nerving and sadistic.
