I think this is an excellent way to educate the public on this complex issue. The movie itself is entertaining. It important for people to understand how the rich get richer and the poor get poorer and the middle class disappears.
I am in public health and health communication, so l have studied the effectiveness of using narrative (stories with appealing characters, in this case popular and talented actors) to teach complex information.
In advocating for Medicare for All to move to a single payer system and leave private insurance companies to selling supplementary products, l have been trying to explain how the health insurance industry works for individuals and how insurance companies "spin" information to fool the public to increase their profits.
I strongly suggest that everyone read Wendell Potter's "Deadly Spin" (published in 2010, but nothing has changed). Take the time to see Michael Moore's repressed documentary "Sicko".
Mr. Sodenberg or someone else, please consider making a "narrative" film of "Deadly Spin" before the 2020 election.
