I am a DEVOTED fan of The Original Charmed and i LOVED it!! I rewatched the series from the time I was 12 til I was about 23 im 24 n even now when it comes on i will sit there with excitement n joy n watch any episode. Me and my husband watched the Pilot episode just for curiosity and I was not impressed but i have been trying to keep an open mind and have been just kinda eavesdropping on the episodes and honestly all i can do is become more disappointed n sit on the sidelines pointing out flaws. I am HOPING this show is CANCELLED! It might have been O.K. if it didnt have the name of a LEGENDARY tv show! Being one who watched the original the only thing i can do is compare in my opinion if they were going to do a reboot of Charmed they should have made it like the show Legacies if nothing else n started off with the Halliwell line n their legacies not these 3 "so called" sisters, these characters do not have near the bond, friendship, or chemistry as the "Charmed Ones". Where can i begin...first off the mother was not "killed" in the beginning, she was killed when they were small children n grams raised the girls binding their powers til she died months before the pilot episode when they got their powers. The sisters powers were telekenesis/astral projection, the power to freeze/blow things up, and premonition/levitation/ empathy....none of them could read minds. The demon fighting is a freaking joke! The spells are actual black magic, not the good kind used by good witches. The Book Of Shadows isnt even near the same, Again BLACK magic...its all scribbles n gibberish and the evil beings are more like what you'd see in Supernatural...The special effects are super lacking compared to the original and DO NOT even get me started on the whitelighters and elders..OMG!!! Harry sounds like the guy from the English Men of Letters on Supernatural and Elders would NEVER just be up and running around like normal humans...especially pretending to be business people ...in fact they frowned upon such n even forbid Leo from even being with his family BECAUSE he was an Elder!! They've completely ruined the 4th..unknown half sister plot (Paige!) the girls sister was NOT an elder. And alot of people on here are saying how they dont find it that big of a deal that one of the sisters is a man hating lesbian (middle sister/ Piper) which i do find extremely OFFENSIVE! Not because i am against that lifestyle but for one because Charmed was a family based show with family morals and i feel on that end they are ruining that. On the other half..Piper was loving and maternal but she was also a hopeless romantic who loved love WITH MEN! Just like all the other sisters she was "boy crazy!" And i feel turning her lesbian is COMPLETELY UNETHICAL AND DISRESPECTFUL and do not think theyre doin the original actress Holly Marie Combs right at all. Last but not least they have completely DESTROYED the most iconic and legandary legacy of PIPER AND LEO and their profound yet forbidden undying incredible love story!!! I really want to see this show crash and burn..it is a disgrace and insult to the name I can definitely understand why the original cast were so offended and angered by the announcement of this horrendous atrocity!! I'm all for a reboot if its an actual reboot if not with the original cast then at least most things familiar and similar. Not pleased.
