Completely woke from the first minute. Everyone of any consequence is female, and of course, lesbian. Pink hair everywhere. Neo is portrayed as a derranged, neurotic washout video game designer, and there's very little special about him anymore. The whole time he's portrayed as a has been who's seen better days. He's quite obviously being set up to be replaced by Trinity, the (of course) strong female character. Very little to do with the original. Most of the dialogue is a series of cut and paste cheap philosophical statements. The acting, aside from Keanu Reeves comes across as forced and unnatural. It was so bad, I really wish that this amazing actor would have sit this one out. All the tired, over choreographed gun battles are still there, now with a miriad of video game characters throw in, which give you a feeling of watching Mortal Kombat. Once again, nowhere even close to the original. Verdict; Hard Pass

Waht a disappointment. Forced myself to finish it last night. Yet another successful franchise, wrecked by Hollywood's obsession with black issues. Die hard fans of The Sopranos like me will realize that about half the movie was wasted in an attempt to pitch some kind of black gangster spinoff show.
