Wow.....so much to say about this documentary. The crew behind this project put so much work into research, into their interviews, and understanding all the complexities there are when it comes to sex trafficking. Probably one of the darkest and most uncomfortable documentaries I have ever watched. But at then end, it was the most triumphant and hopeful message you need with something this dark in our world.
This documentary is brutally honest about what is out there, what the facts are, and how sex trafficking is the most horrendous but most "unseen" crime throughout the entire world.
The cinematography and the production of this documentary was incredible as well. You could tell the people behind this really want to make a documentary that was honest, real, and that would impact all who saw it.
You will be uncomfortable, angry, deeply sorrowful, and asking yourself some existential questions throughout this. But I beg you, watch it until the end. The stories of some of the trafficked victims are incredible and hopeful.
After watching this, I'm so convinced that though our world is a very dark place, full of dark places and people, and full of experiences that people will never shake off in this lifetime...there is a place where all this dark weight will seem light to the freedom and glory that will be revealed in Jesus' coming. May we all long for the unseen things coming soon. Jesus, come!
