A relief to have a show without the heavy woke agenda that is all over Netflix, even with a mostly Asian-American cast. The story is pure chaos and really unpredictable. While the comedy is great, the emotional scenes are also amazing. The art at the beginning of each episode and the music at the end makes a more dramatic impact on the story. It is very well executed. It is not the usual comedy series with a shallow plot, nor a drama that gets boring and draining. It took me a few episodes to figure out the genre because at first it seemed like a suspense/thriller show, then in the middle it seemed like there's a bit of romance thrown in LOL.

Zombie movies had been my favorite for the past decade, Walking Dead being my all time fave --- that was, before I started watching Korean Zombie movies. Train to Busan and Alive was spectacular. By 2020 though, I was practically bored of zombie movies because they have literally the same survival plots. With the character being chased by zombies as the only "exciting" part. Ehem, Army of the Dead, ehem. So I didn't bother with Kingdom until now (2022). I was wrong though, it was really binge-worthy and I watched Seasons 1, 2, and Ashin of the North within 24 hrs. LOL. My only complaint is that the characters like to STARE. Like just stand there, stare, and not run like hell even when the zombies are advancing. Haha but other than that the story is unique and really worth it.

This show is like any other romantic comedies with a predictable plot. Some storylines are outrageous and really doesn't happen IRL, which are fitted together just to make that "serendipity" moments. But what makes this show so enjoyable and rewatchable is because of the chemistry between the characters and the comedy is very much my taste. Not just for the main leads but also the friendship between the other characters are so fun to watch.

Great show. With Korean dramas, I used to skip the slow dramatic parts and those overly long pauses where the characters just look at each other during an emotional scene or conversation. Those dramatic scenes are present here but it was all worth watching because it is actually necessary for the story. I'm just a bit disappointed at the last 5 minutes of the ending. It seemed so sad and rushed, and I felt I wasn't completely satisfied for some reason. But overall, it was a worthy binge and all of the episodes have a rich storyline. There wasn't that one invincible enemy from episode 1 who was only defeated at the last episode. Rather, more than 1 villain were are also plotting against each other. Bits of satisfying revenge scenes also came earlier with each villain, that you would have a mini victory dance in early episodes than expected.
