This movie tries really hard, but doesn't quite bring the yucks. It IS the Zucker / Abrhams freshman debut, and Fistful of Yen is a powerful foreshadowing of the things to come. There are some funny moments, but it's not the "falling on the floor in stitches" movies like Airplane are. Worth having in your library if you collect stuff by these directors. But don't expect to be reaching for it much.
