It has more truth and realness than the mindless garbage and lies we are saturated with. I'm truly grateful to every person who helped create this super intelligent movie. LOVED IT!

The bad reviews are people who are too dumb to get it. This movie is brilliant. Joaquin Phoenix was born to play the role. Nice cinema photography. The music was genius. I prefered the first 2/3 of the film. I was hooked by the intelligent script and superb acting. The last third, particularly when the Joker was on the show, lost the intrigue for me. There was no need to dumb it down by spelling things out. Pushing things out - far from anything predictable or cliche could have made the 'peak' this movie deserved. Subtlety and cleverness were lost. The connection with real life society issues that had been dealt with so nicely earlier in the movie were shelved and made way for the typical formula of American drama movies : unnecessary killings. Otherwise this movie was original and cool.

Super cool movie. Intelligent, witty and oozing with originality and fun. I loved the visuals - from costume to props this movie had a strong sense of style that went beyond anything expected. Harlequins apartment with it's red and pink floral wallpaper, colourful crocheted blanket draped on the couch and pet hyena. Margot Robbie is brilliant. Words cant do justice to this amazing woman's performance. I liked the other characters too. Outrageous, bombastic and at the same time so relatable and believable. And no stupid , cheesy romance story building in the background!

Lots of excuses as to why this movie was a box office flop. The movie lacked creativity, grittyness, authenticity. Bland story line. Aesthetically dull. Stereotypical characters that lacked depth. There was nothing unexpected, interesting or clever. I really wish they would have broken free of tryn to please a mainstream audience and done something brilliant and original. Didn't watch it the whole way through, the kids and me were bored.
