Outstanding in every way-the writing and the acting by 4 icons-great to watch

Could have been a great series-I knew Halston and had a number of friends-one close-that worked for him. There are, of course many exaggerations and the emphasis is distorted Makes one ask did the writer or Director ever look at just the documentary released not too long ago about Halston. For example the characterization of Joel Schumacher is terrible. This is a great missed opportunity by the people that created this. If Joel Schumaker walked into a room You were aware of his presence he was very dynamic extremely bright and a great comedian -that shrinking violet personality portrayed by Macaulay Culkin’s brother makes no sense.. , The life of Halston was also misrepresented the script shows him in three phases stressed on money or having an emotional fit about something or other or having anal sex.Is that the best these writers and the director could do ? . Halston himself was very giving and open than the writing indicates. While it is hard to portray Liza Minnelli because she herself is so dynamic it was good but they could’ve done more with Elsa Perretti who was a creative wonder unto herself. Halston had sex so do most people some every night - has that been portrayed in biographies of others where every 20 minutes it’s on the screen I don’t think so. Halston for a brief moment in time raised up the level of American fashion to HtGerma world and provided and lived an elegant and somewhat excessive lifestyle for himself and those around him unfortunately the excess eventually destroyed him .
