I started watching it but after 2 episodes stopped. The FL just isn’t ‘cutting’ it for me. She has one facial expression for all situations!! She’s not in the league of the 2 MLs! I’d probably start watching it again for the sake of the 2 ML. I’d really like to know why she was picked for a lead role… not even a trace of ‘chemistry’ with the MLs. I give this kdrama 3 stars because of the MLs. I don’t know if it’s me or the kdrama storyline itself, but the plot is kinda all over the place which makes it not quite easy to follow and understand.

The story line is not quite unique, but the many twists and turns of events, the characterization of the actors, script, direction, et al, made this kdrama a ‘winner’ of me. The elicited emotions were true and real. I was teary-eyed several times!

Seobok isn’t your standard sci-fi-action thriller. It deals more with the question of the morality/legality of DNA cloning and its impact/consequence to humanity. The lead characters have their own personal conflicts and angsts to resolve too which added a great deal of poignancy to this film. Trust, respect, wanting, love and a sense of responsibilty to humanity are some of the emotions at play. “ I want to become something meaninful to someone” as Seobok said, is for me, profound.
