At first I couldn’t understand why there I was such a difference in reviews. However after finishing the movie it made sense. This is more of a psychological unfolding thriller instead of a horror movie it’s marketed as. The movie plays with your perception of who the victim is even to the end credits. If you are looking for a frightening movie similar to Hereditary you will be disappointed. This movie is filled with unlikable horrific characters except for the dog. The deception of the movie is that the people you think are terrifying aren’t. It begs the questions who are the real victims are. I won’t give spoilers so I will say I liked this movie the more I thought about it.
