Manaka Laala

For reference, I did watch all 6 installments of this series. (And I mean watched, not skipped or scanned) It's a nice series of movies for nostalgia purposes. Otherwise, just watch the first 2 (until 4 is tolerable). It felt like the movie was created for making money (from those who really adored the older seasons). The story is kind of lacking. I think they were trying to make a plot about them growing up and how it interfered with their choices as "chosen children". Concept-wise, it's a good theme but the execution was done poorly. And honestly, all the new characters introduced are too hallow and annoying that you can't find anything lovable about their personality (except Nishijima, I only adore his character because he is voiced by Namikawa-san and nothing else). If you're missing the digimons, it is a good watch and I did enjoy the new animations for evolution! The digimons are still as cute as ever and they're still as adorable as before. But the human characters, plots and theme execution, don't expect too much.
