I want to make it clear that I am not hating this show simply because it is not following the books 100%, nor am I hating it just because it includes LGBTQ+ content. What this show lacks is the feel of monsters scaring you. You will not see monsters like Prince Khor-Ru (mummy), Werewolf of Fever Swamp, etc. There are two seasons, and they have no plot in common with each other, so I will focus on the seasons and their faults. Season 1: As previously mentioned, there aren't "monsters". Season 1 is more focused on cursed artifacts (Camera from say cheese and die and the cuckoo clock of doom), and how some teenagers' parents' backstories come to haunt them. As a spoiler, it all leads up to Slappy. Season 2: This departs from feeling like goosebumps. While the plot was different, season 1 makes some connections to the original story. However, season 2 makes no connections to the story besides a brief moment of staying out of the basement. No cursed artifacts, no slappy, no mention of anything from OG goosebumps. Also, what really made me dislike season 2 was the show wasn't scary as opposed to gross. Too many moments of characters throwing up and coughing up alien slime.

I want to clarify I went into this movie fully understanding it was going to be cheesy and normal movie standards can’t apply. That having been said, for a movie called “the Meg 2”, the megs were secondary in the movie. Instead of dealing with giant sharks, they’re dealing with people who have selfish intentions and the usual bad guy theme. In addition to sharks, now we have a giant octopus? We have crocodile-dinosaur hybrid things? First movie was good. Why? Because it was about a giant shark that was causing terror. Why get away from that formula?

3 stars because it's an average movie. That's it. Doesn't live up to the hype in my opinion. My disappointments: *SPOILERS* 1) For a movie with Dr. Strange in its title, he really felt minor. He had an awesome action sequence in the movie, but after that, it fell super flat. 2) Wanda was the "villain" and she felt super lame. She isn't even really a villain since she's just trying to see her kids in another universe. 3) Bringing in the Illuminati which included characters like Black Bolt and Professor X was cool at first, but they died off super quick, so why even introduce them in the first place? Again, the movie wasn't horrible, but it's not something worth rushing to see in theatres on opening weekend in overcrowded movie theatres. It definitely can wait.

It was a good movie. Just had 2 issues. #1) it was a bit too long for my taste. #2) I really did not like the riddler. Spoilers from here. The way I've always seen the riddler portrayed, he is someone who gives riddles first and kills second. This riddler is the opposite. Batman even solved one of his riddles and he still killed the guy. Might as well have left the riddles out and have him be Victor Zsasz.

*SPOILERS* I liked it. It wasn't quite what I was expecting though. This was more of a weird romance movie (between Eddie and Venom) rather than an action movie. What I didn't like was how they handled Carnage. If you know anything about the comics, Carnage says "I" instead of "we". Cletus doesn't just wear carnage, he IS carnage. The way Cletus was being spoken to and the way they were arguing at the end aren't supposed to happen. I like Shriek a lot, and I also liked Patrick Mulligan and how they set him up for another sequel. Basically, if you don't know, he's the third symbiote called Toxin.

I love the vampire diaries and the originals. I plan on re-watching both series again, but the originals has its own uniqueness from TVD. The main difference is the plot is not focused on an obsession with one girl. Up until you watch this show, you're meant to think of the original family as villains, but you quickly see their family back story and grow attached to them. My only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 was because I really didn't like the ending. I can understand how too many episodes might lead to a lot of filler that isn't needed, but seasons 4 and 5 had the opposite problem. It really felt rushed and there were not enough episodes to build on the plot in my opinion. Here are my complaints about seasons 4 and 5: *Spoilers from here!!* Season 4: Season 3's ending was nothing short of spectacular. I was expecting a lot more tension in that when it carried over to season 4. They could have focused more on finding the cure and the difficulty of doing so. They could have made a bigger deal with Marcel being the potential death of their species. Instead they're cured and back together in the first episode, and Marcel becomes an ally again in only a few episodes. The whole thing with the hollow was rushed and had no build up. Not to say it wasn't good at all, but they could have spent more detail on everything. Season 5: This season starts out amazing with the tension at first. Hayley gets kidnapped, and there are plagues erupting New Orleans when Klaus comes back to his family. I was so excited to watch the next episodes, but the plot fell extremely flat after Hayley's death. Even if the hollow business in season 4 was rushed, at-least there was a threat to them. The vampire purists who want to rid New Orleans of the the other factions didn't feel like a threat at all. They extract Marcel's venom but that quickly gets destroyed and they all quickly die by Hope. They mentioned the plagues, and they could have made that seem more of an issue, but Hope just quickly absorbs all the magic and the whole idea of the first borns dying gets completely thrown out the trash. The ending still brought tears to my eye though.
