The dancers with classical ballet training, Francesca Hayward, Robert Fairchild, and especially Steven McRae, saved this movie from being a complete disaster. Good job Andy Blankenbuehler. Jason Derulo, Rebel Wilson, and Jennifer Hudson were miscast. Judi Dench looked more like the cowardly lion, Bert Lahr, in the Wizard of Oz. Some musicals don't transition from stage to screen very well. A Chorus Line, Hair, The Producers, and now, Cats. Watching this on stage, almost 40 years ago, was magical. No magic in this film adaptation. Sorry Mr. Mistoffelees!

Pointless! Makes no sense, and the acting isn't very good. Why did the world forget the Beatles after a brief power failure? Oh wait, two people besides Jack remembered them? Is Jack imagining all of this? Did he suffer some brain damage from the bus accident? Why does the world remember the Stones, but not the Beatles? They also have no memory of Coca Cola? Is this Saturday Night Live? No Coke, Pepsi! Nothing is explained. Did Jack research Wings on the computer? How about the Traveling Wilburys? No, he types Beatles and then the 4 names. Looks no further for an explanation. This could win some Raspberry Awards.
