this is one of those films that I can't stop thinking about it. the two times I saw it I literally felt all the feels and the movie mad me feel bad for feeling those feelings. this movie does this really well, it's one of the few movies that is captivating about it.
this film has become one of my favorite films of all time, not only that but also my favorite joker and Joaquin Phoenix role of all time.
the score is one of the most beautiful and touching scores I've heard it made me cry but it also made me feel happy. each little stroke of the violin strings had so man emotions behind it.

now the movie pays homage to many movies specifically american psycho and taxi driver. now with american psycho it's with all the events after the subway murders which I think personally go way too well for Arthur fleck. and I think that's the joke Arthur was talking about which is that he believes the events are true, and in doing so he thinks that the walls holding him during this riot will keep him locked up. he believes it's only temporary and that prisons cant hold him either that or the end is in his head during the end and all the doctor visits are in his head and that the psychiatrist is holding the joker back from surfacing
