I notice in some of the bad reviews, people judge how strong or good of a chess player the protagonist is. However this is notwhat the film is about in my opinion. This is a story about competition, parent's expectations, ego, overcoming fear and growing. It's about how confident, almost arrogant you may become when you realise you're good at something... that is, until you realise that there are people out there as good as you or even better! This is a reality we have to accept before moving forward. Finally, the actors did a very good job, especially the young ones!
