The book is fairly informative, talks about some interesting anecdotal experiences and even provides a few tips to save yourself from massive costs when you become a patient one day (which everyone will).
While some of the discussions were anecdotal, the author discusses how he deployed large scale research efforts to see if his anecdotes held true across the country (spoiler: they do) and to what extent the problems were affecting Americans.
There are a few startups and companies sprinkled throughout the book but when I dug into each one, their websites, apps and what have you were all low quality and barely worked. It left me wondering if they were legitimate companies.
Anyways, the book was a great read and I really encourage everyone in the US to read it to learn a little more about healthcare here.
