So bad I can’t even watch the whole thing. Acting is sub par if that. Sorry to say that Nia Long does not look good and the acting and storyline was predictable and not convincing. Bad acting and not even believable. Just bad all around

I wanted to like this series but the extreme violence, rape scene at the end of season 1 and the unnecessary over the top sex scenes just ruin the enjoyment for me. I am very disturbed be the end of the season 1 with the detailed and and graphic homosexual rape scene, and am still having ptsd from what I saw. I tried to fast forward but can’t unsee what was shown. This show makes me feel like I’m watching a porno. I wanted to give the series a chance and have stopped watching at the end of season 3 as I just can’t handle the content. I wish I would’ve stopped watching sooner. As much as I would like to continue I just can’t as the show makes me feel dirty and gross watching all of the grotesquesness that doesn’t need to be in the show. I think the historical aspect of the show is really what makes it interesting but adding in so much sex and nudity, is just ridiculous. Why does there need to be women’s breasts exposed in every sex scene plus in other random scenes? And you can’t prepare for The sex scenes as all of a sudden BAM, in your face there’s no way to know when those will happen. It makes it very difficult to enjoy watching a series that has left me feeling very disturbed and also where’s there’s constant nudity and sex happening throughout every episode. Bummer...

Unfortunately I think this movie majorly missed the mark. It was not worth watching and wasting 2 hours of my life, feeing confused and having a hard time understanding the plot and what was going on. Very unrealistic and reminds me of a made for TV movie. I’m surprised at how lacking it was in terms of the buildings used throughout the movie. The court room didn’t even look real nor was it convincing. And the young male actress who marries the older woman seemed rushed and definitely unconvincing. The entire set as to where the film was shot looked fake and unrealistic as well. Too bad this movie could’ve been a whole lot better. I wouldn’t recommend watching. Too bad it’s nothing like Tyler Perry’s ‘Good Deeds’ as that movie was definitely well worth a watch. This new Tyler Perry movie was sadly a disgrace. I hate to say that but it was really bad.
