This game is amazing. I can’t even express how excited and happy i am to finally have a new proper Forza game! I got so sick of horizon and it’s wacky arcade style, motorsport itself went way down the drain, i grew up on gran turismo and then Forza came out and blew it out of the water so it’s so nice to have a real Forza Motorsport experience again. This is one of those very rare instances where a developer actually listens to their fans and delivers on the promise. First of all the cars… so incredible i mean they’re beautiful just to look at and admire. I’m a huge car nerd and they did a fantastic job with the detail this game is absolutely gorgeous. Every car feels and performs differently (which yes all racing games have been saying since 1999 but it’s no gimmick here). The weather and track temp actually impact the way the car moves and handles. The progression of the game is great. I was really worried about that because of how they handled it with previous installments but it feels more like the good old days of Forza 3-4. And i really love the way they force you to really learn every track by including the segment tracker and rate you on how well you do on each and every turn on track. As you work your way up and become better at driving each track, your’e rewarded driver xp and car xp which can be used to upgrade your vehicle. As you progress your car level increases and that will dictate which performance upgrades you can purchase with your points. It makes it a much more engaging experience compared to the older ones because you actually have to drive the car before you can just throw every upgrade at it. It is buggy though. As seems to be the case with all of the recent xbox releases. Sometimes I’ll go to shift up or down and the game will just not register. Really hope it isn’t my brand new elite series 2. I’ve had some weird glitches in the pits while waiting to start a race, for example there was a few times where some random car that isn’t even in the class was slamming against me in the waiting area lol that one isn’t concerning but still worrisome. Overall I’m absolutely loving the game. So glad turn 10 finally pulled their head out of the butt region in which it was stuck for many years.

I got this game packaged in the PSVR2 bundle. I figured I’m gonna want to get the flagship launch title anyway so why not spend a bit extra and get it all as one. It’s ok, i had fun with it but it’s not without its problems. First of all the negatives: My big gripe is how linear it is, even though all horizon games have always somewhat been this way, this one is literally climb a cliff wall to the top and then walk along a tiny trail, where you’re met with another wall to climb and repeat. In between you’ll find things to interact with or enemies to take out with your bow, or little challenges. Sometimes they change it up and you have to climb horizontally as opposed to vertically, or you have to jump or swing across ropes that happen to be there. Even when you are confronted by an enemy you can’t move. You’re stuck in this little circle surrounding the enemy and can only move around it or dash. It takes so much away from the experience that made horizon great in the first place. The mechanics of it as you’re using the bow do feel very good though which brings me to the positives: The controls are great and it’s very intuitive, almost feels like a workout at times. The bow is always fun to use and honing your aim doesn’t take long but it’s fun to master. The game itself is gorgeous, the first time i put on the headset and started playing, it was a crazy experience. The overall scale of it, when you look up at the mountains or deep into the rivers below you it’s like damn… they did very well with crafting the visuals and really making it feel as if you’re there. I love how it gives you time to just look around enjoy your environment. Overall I’m not impressed. This game feels like more of a demo for what the system can do than an actual game, which obviously it is but that isn’t what it was marketed as. It’s fun for a while but you get over it quickly. As far as i know it’s the only game that takes advantage of eye tracking which is cool but only really utilized in the menus. We all have different tastes and maybe for some it’s the best thing ever, but if you’re just getting into PSVR2 i would recommend star wars TFTGE if you want some kind of action packed adventure vr game. As time goes on, dev’s will be able to creat much larger and bigger/better vr games putting all of the systems abilities to good use. But for now this is really just a showcase. A quick romp through a horizon themed world that will show off what’s to come. Not a bad purchase by any means but it probably won’t wow you and leave you begging for more like other games already can.

This game is great! Awesome story line (your typical save the kingdom/princess plot) but they find new ways to keep it interesting and funny all the time. My biggest gripe with this sequel is the totally revamped form of combat. In the original which I’ve played well over 100 hours of, it was a turn based grid style combat system ala final fantasy tactics or fire emblem even. In this one you have full control over your characters movement but within a limited space. I don’t really like this form of combat/movement as much because it gives you way too many advantages and honestly makes the whole game much easier, not to mention your characters start out the game with well over 500HP. In kingdom battle you would have to work for quite a while to get to that point. In the first one you would have to carefully plot your movements and work as a team to ensure everyone is in their best position to succeed respectively. Maybe it will grow on me but there clearly is no way to revert back to the old style of movement in the options. Aside from that it’s essentially the same game just with different maps and regions and assorted weapons or powerups. In my opinion had they kept the more tactical style movement or even allowed it to be an option plus all the little tweaks to make the game more accessible or easier it would have easily been a 5 star game

Aggghhh! I wanted to love this game so bad. I never did play it back when i had my first gamecube, so I figured I’d pick it up for my “retro” collection. My biggest beef with this game is the controls, why…. Did they have to do that? I was expecting a first person shooter type layout just like countless others on the console. But no they built it essentially like an N64 shooter meaning there is no way to look around individually from movement. All movement is controlled with the left thumb-stick and you have to pull L to strafe R to aim. The C stick is reserved for weapons (i swapped it in the settings so visors are on C stick) i feel like there would have been other ways to design around this and it’s really frustrating. Honestly ruins the game for me personally. I can’t even count how many times I’ve been in combat or just exploring and go to move the camera to see something or aim, oh wait i cant! It just brings up an option that freezes my character and dooms me. Horrible idea to set up the controls the way they did. If it wasn’t for that it’d be an easy 5 of 5.

This game is so good!! It’s really refreshing to see a totally new idea in the gaming world these days. I’ve been excited about this game since i watched the ps5 reveal years ago, and to have it added to ps plus “for free” is amazing. It did not disappoint. The storyline is incredible and it does a very good job at bridging the gap between chill out and enjoy / keep your wits about you and don't miss a thing. Absolutely love it and I will definitely be keeping an eye on blue 12 from here on out. Very well made game, like others within the last few years I’m happy they delayed it to ensure a quality product was released. A+ experience!

the main reason i got this game was for bowling. It was by far my favorite on wii sports. So far I’m really not impressed. I really don’t like that there is no ranking system of any type for single player mode. That’s what gave the old one so much replay value and made you want to keep coming back for more. Getting the golden ball in bowling or making pro in boxing (which is sadly absent in this one) was great! Ironically the motion controls are the biggest problem for this game. It’s amazing to me to think about how responsive and accurate the wii mote was in comparison to the joycon. It’s very difficult to put a consistent and accurate spin on the ball as you release it. But i guess motion controls were just kind of an addition for switch and not the main selling point as it was on wii. Aside from bowling the other sports are so so. I dont like that you can’t play a singles match in tennis, badminton seems pointless since tennis is also there, but at least you can actually control your characters movement as opposed to tennis, the sword fighting would be great with a more responsive controller but I’d prefer to have boxing over that anyway. All and all it’s ok but fell way short of my expectations. I feel like this game should have shipped with a proprietary sensor that plugs into the usb port of the switch or some kind of extra sensor for the joycon because the motion controls are nowhere near as effective as they need to be. It seems like this just another cash grab by Nintendo to tug on the heart strings of nostalgia but we’ll see. Maybe in the future they’ll fix some issues and add some other sports.

I had high hopes for the first ever (Microsoft) flight simulator on console. I always loved flight sim in its older installments. It’s fun but it’s not at all what i was hoping for. First of all this is not a flagship next gen game as it’s being marketed as, it’s a poorly done quickly slapped together port that’s been watered down like crazy. I’m still scratching my head wondering how this is a next gen exclusive. It isn’t pretty at all, the humans on many tarmac’s you will see look like they were meant for a ps2 game, the terrain in most areas are not visually impressive in any way, the aircraft and some of the lighting are kind of pretty but still nothing that makes me think “wow this is amazing! No way this game could run on the xbox one!” It seems to me like its a marketing gimmick. And a very poor one at that, considering that there are far more demanding games coming out soon on both gen consoles. The only argument i can see is that it can render any place in the world with pretty quick load speeds. But I’ve gone to my hometown and it looked nothing like it really does, and i set off from my wife’s home town of tashkent Uzbekistan. Both of us agreed that it was a very crude and low resolution version of the real thing with very few of the roads and buildings matching their real life counterparts. I expected much more, what with the tremendous amount of technology and funds at Microsoft’s fingertips. Hopefully this isn’t a one off and they will continue to develop better flight sims for the xbox.

It’s impossible for me to write a proper non biased review for this game. OOT is probably my favorite video game of all time, at least way up there in the top 3 of my personal list. If you haven’t played it yet i envy you and I encourage you to do so. It’s been ported several times on far more capable Nintendo machines and for good reason but the best way to play it will always be a N64 connected to a CRT tv. For me (and I’m sure many others) this game is a really powerful nostalgia machine, but it’s also a very, very good game at its core.

Just picked this game up a few days back for PS5 and literally haven’t set it down since. It’s just incredibly well done and ticks all the boxes for a high end action RPG. I have not been sucked into a video game like i am with this in years. It’s so inviting and engaging you just want to keep playing to see where it goes. If you want to veer off the path of the main storyline and just explore and roam theres hours and hours of fun to be had out there as well. Very visually pleasing the world is so well crafted and polished everything is vibrant and crisp on PS5 there really is never a dull moment in this game. I love the interactive nature of everything from the environment to the people that inhabit it. It’s an early review but i highly doubt my feelings will change throughout. I’ve got at least 20 hours in this game and I’m struggling to find something negative about it. This is pretty much a must have for the next gen consoles it really showcases the power of the new hardware.

I definitely could have done without this one. It’s a very basic platformer with a LBP twist. The lack of any type of creation mode was a huge turnoff. I’m assuming this is a filler while they work on a proper LBP title? Regardless this game is very repetitive and feels outdated, the cute whimsical nature of it is promising at first but quickly wears off and becomes a “when do we get to the game” type feeling not long after starting. I feel they could have done much better with it. I love these types of games if done properly but this one offers nothing to keep the player engaged and striving to go further and discover what else there is to offer. A generous 2 of 5.
