love v – Google

I just saw this as a recommendation so I got curious and eventually watched it. IMPORTANT! I’m not Thai, but I think this is important. If you’re Thai, you will love this. The male lead speaks Thai in the movie and talks about how he loves the country and etc. I think Thai people would enjoy this as well. Well, this kind of reminds me the song of Katy Perry “The One that Got Away.” It’s a retelling of a man’s love to this special girl he met. But while watching, it felt like a first love kinda feeling. It’s not surrounded just about gisaeng, but very diverse. One topic discussed is how also women at that time expected to be virtuous and loyal to one husband even tho their husband takes in concubines and was not loyal to their 1st wife. There’s also a scene where there’s a tragic death. Just a heads up! But overall, I very much enjoyed the movie. Even tho the ending wasn’t as I expected. Got me teary tbh.
