This show truly presents and explains real world issues such as bullying,suicide,rape,etc .Beginning from Hannah Baker who faces bullying/rape and commits suicide and up to Jessica who gets raped and deals with the post trauma while her RAPIST still attend school although he left another and still lives in her town ,which is very real as he does not go to prison for his crime it shows reality I like how they did not sugar coat or put in fake expectations.Up to Alex shooting himself and not successfully killing him as well as to up to Tyler who is even more real and realistic , attempting to shoot a school because he was massively bullied and misunderstood not until people who cared and gave him a chance saved him .Up until the hero himself clay and Tony who’s family is getting deported ,racial injustice and discrimination etc .This show truly captures every aspect of life and high school ,the injustice faced by every possible person.Even Justin an addict and abdused by his mother’s bf,his mother is an addict who was not responsible and let her child develop this behavior and the feeling of being lost Bc of the lack of guidance growing up.Finally,to Bryce the rapist who even him who is the biggest monster,by listening and admitting to his mistakes that are unforgivable has tried to change and his mother etc.This show truly addresses the realistic and unfortunate world ,it does not empower your average high school crush shenanigan who ended up dating and becoming high school sweethearts who married and had kids .No,usually what happens nowadays.They rather open everyone’s eyes and consciousness.
