A war movie paying tribute to courageous tankers, they who are often times ignored over more sensational stories of the individual bravery of foot soldiers during the 2nd World War. A gripping must-watch if this is your kind of genre. 👍

5+++ stars for the talents behind this film!
I immediately sensed that I was in for a rare treat of Filipino creativity and cinematic genius minutes into the story and I am glad I made the decision not to skip this on my Netflix list.
I had goosies when the harsh realities of many women's daily struggles came to life and I am very impressed with how the dialogues (especially between Bining and Iska) and scenes (the ones with Iska as the centerpiece) felt so raw and so real.
My heart was shattered into pieces several times by this movie but not as painful as when it was ripped out of my soul shortly before the closing credits.
This will haunt me for a long time.

This documentary helped me understand better why things are going the way they are in the USA, why certain political personalities are they way they are and why they speak the way they do (against the lgbt, the poor, the Jews, etc) from where I am --- all the way from the Philippines.
I fear for humanity all the more. ;(

If not for the big stars and GoT alums I wouldn't last 5 minutes. Too talky and no sense of urgency at all but the post-credit clip was worth the long wait, tho. 🙃

What is there not to love in a Hugh Jackman film? Nothing.
With a good balance of romance and crime, this movie is best experienced when everything else around you can wait.
Take your time, your sweet time. It'll be worth it. ;)
