Nothing will ever equal the original anime. But it was a very entertaining take on a 20 year old anime. The writers incorporate some original bounty heads with some twists added in to keep the story from being totally predictable. Sure there are some bad points to the show, but almost Every TV series has its bad spots. I loved seeing the Swordfish, Bebop, and Faye’s Zip Craft, including the original soundtrack was another good move.
For the people who are trashing it they must have expected academy award winning actors to play every character and for the budget to be around $300 million. The Final Episode was possibly the best as it put a good twist on the plot line, sorry no spoilers.
I give it 4 stars or an 8 out of 10.
The only issue I had was the actress that played Radical Edward, she needs to work on the characters for the Next Season. I felt she over played it a little, but was relieved that she does appear in the 1st season. The back story of EIN was excellent, that was smart writing.
The other Supporting Characters like Ana for example were done very well. Adrian Barbeau played an excellent mother character as did several other guest stars.
Watch it and take it for what it is, do not compare it to the original anime, that is just unfair.
Enjoy the things that link it to the original and remember it is a TV series on Netflix.
Now that they have used up all the original material, except the anime movie which I hope they do not use, they will have to come up with new stories about our favorite Cowboys.
