I loved this movie. It's beautiful, I'm sure there some Lawrence of olives and gin or somebody who can find things to nitpick. Sure there are some die hard unsurvivable moments. This a 110% badass. There's a fight with all the tools out of a toolbox. It's kind of a good cautionary tale for folks who want to keep the right to carry guns. This woman would definitely take your lunch money. You shouldn't try her even if you have a gun. The choreography is beautiful. The camera work is beautiful. Yeah the star is pretty and all, but I felt her. I don't think Bruce Lee would be proud of Walker Texas Ranger fight scenes. He'd be happy for his friend's success and not having to do real fight scenes anymore. I think he would be proud of this movie. The shots that are in Old Guard that work are directly lifted from this film. The story and the emotions are just enough. Yeah there are oriental generic norms that it has to adhere to. It has stuff that's not perfect. But that's like complaining about the smell of burning rubber with a fast car. This is one of the most engaging action fighting movies I've ever seen. It gets five stars for the budget. For pure escapist badassery that's slightly grounded, I rate watching this the first time ahead of the the first die hard. She has less downtime. Similar to the Russian Diehard as far as being action packed but less dumb. Furie is better than most of the Diehard movies. Better than Olympus has fallen etc. But if you don't like those movies, and you don't enjoy action movies and are looking for a gripping romance, this aint for you. if you love fists of Fury than this is for you.
