Truly a fantastic movie on all accounts. Set dressing? Filled with character and detail. Soundtrack? Perfectly complementing for every scene of the movie. Acting? Every bit believable and of high quality. Writing? Phenomenal to say the least, I won't spoil much, but I can assure you that every little detail you see, hear, or don't is there because it serves the plot. All of Checkov's guns were loaded and fired making for a most satisfying watch. Highly, highly recommended. It's been a while since I've seen a movie this good

A mindblowingly good watch. When I decided to enjoy this wonderful movie, I had no idea about what its plot was, I simply watched it because Edgar Wright is always a win, and dare I say I was not disappointed. The story is something unbelievable, it starts with the base premise of a group of friends going back to their hometown to drink a few beers and reminisce about the good old days, but within a heartbeat it turns into an insane action movie with our five protagonists saving the world from aliens. All of it portraid perfectly thanks to the director's unique and fast paced style, which, if you're familiar with it, you'll love seeing in this film, each shot being packed full of hints about what is going to happen, as well as references to the rest of the Cornetto Trilogy. A story like this one is unlike anything you'd ever see, but one thing is for certain: if anyone can pull it off, that's Edgar Wright. So, if you're a fan of his style, or even if you've never seen any of his work and just want to be blown away, this is the movie for you.
