Pretty annoyed that they left out Mori Ranmaru, whose relationship with Oda was both important at the time and to latter Japanese conceptions of what constituted an ideal bond between warriors. Yukio Mishima wrote all about this! Even Wikipedia, which usually obscures this kind of thing, states: 'Oda and Mori's lord-vassal relationship followed the nanshoku tradition – an intimate relationship – and was widely admired in Japan for its strength. In nanshoku literature of the Edo period, it was widely understood that Oda and Mori had a sexual relationship that was commonly found in those times.'
Come on, this is 2021, can't we acknowledge same-sex love even when it's historical fact?
