I read and loved the books. The series was enjoyable. However, some of the changes were very annoying. The end of the last episode was just stupid wrong. What were they thinking? Talk about ruining the entire thing. Do screenwriters have massive egos is that it?

So far so good. But a coyote? What? There are no coyotes in Scotland.

Come on! Killing the Pope? Do the writers know anything about history? Maybe in Rome over Church politics, but a layperson take the chance? No.

Tut was an insignificant Pharaoh of Egypt. The only thing he did was reverse the one god, Aton, worship of the previous Pharaoh. He died very young. Finding his tomb intact was lucky. It means nothing other than tomb robbers did not find it. If this silly channel wants to do Egyptian Pharaohs, they need to do great ones. There were several great, and many good. Tut was not one.

This story is rather horrid. The plot wanders around going nowhere. The characters wander around going nowhere. There is no story.

There is very little fact in this show, or the others in the series. They are bodice ripping, romantic nonsense. The true history is so much more interesting, and much more sexy.

I suffered through this rather terrible show to see the end. And the end was terrible. Do not waste your time.
