Just watched this movie and we might say the outrage about Solene just being in love is exaggerated but it is not, the world seems to hate happy women and more so a depiction of a woman that is aging but isn't old or decrepit and that is sad... The movie itself was amazing, Anne Hathaway was radiant and her character was honest, the issues she faced were relatable. Nicholas Galitzine was as always very dashing and his character was dreamy and so well played, it was not his story but the acting really showed his range of emotions.
The ending in the book was devastating, they gave us a better ending in the movie and I appreciate that. Women should be able to be happy and loved and get that happy ending no matter what society thinks
