Well directed. Of course includes typical lazy inclusivity of the BBC where minorities behave and talk like posh white people. (Don’t get me wrong inclusivity is great and I have nothing against posh white people. My only issue is they don’t put the effort into writing black or Asian characters - for that you may need Black or Asian writers! Instead they write a white character and have a black or Asian person play them. Feels inauthentic and frankly a bit rubbish.)
With that pet peev out of the way, in summary this was a good production and pretty well directed. Wish some of the court scenes could have been more subtle e.g. in a court the average person will at most pull a face or a smirk. They would not laugh en mass. The story was very good and had me gripped. It had me asking who did it all the way through. Unfortunately, it finished and I’m still asking who did it. I hate a rubbish endings and unfortunately this has one. Cant even get closure on a fictional case!!! Had great promise but ultimately disappointed.
