Very mediocre! A minor improvement on the cloying pastiche of Disco, but it's a retread of everything she's done over the past 23 years. Padam Padam and Tension were exciting, edgy and contemporary in production. Everything else is bogged down by pedestrian production, sounding dated, samey and frustratingly devoid of any real introspection (apart from "Story" - the only song I would have on repeat)

A tonal mess - the jokes were painfully predictable. Barbie herself was never remotely interesting, because she never had a personality to layer onto in the first place.
The attempts at gender politics allegory were heavy handed and uneloquent (except for America Ferreira's blistering speech)
Really not a good film.

A wonderfully subversive black comedy. It messes with your head and unlike most mainstream American films, it doesn't tell you what to think or to take a moral stance.
Hilariously funny.

Formulaic thriller. If you've seen the likes of Misery or Whatever Happened To Baby Jane, it's quite predictable.
The amount of 5 star reviews here just goes to illustrate just how dumbed down both filmakers and audiences are in 2021!
