EGS Says I have 4d of playtime. That seems about right lol.
I'm pretty happy with it, though there are some things that I would have liked better if done differently. You've got this awesome First-Person Mech Bay in your Leopard, but you really can't do anything special with it. Would have been nice to have an action with an animation to climb into your mech pre-mission, but still have the "Confirm Lance" and current launch for those who wanted to skip that part.
Also, they say they have fixed the "spawning" but they haven't fixed it entirely. On that, there shouldn't be "spawning" in this type of game. A finite amount of equipment already on-planet followed by dropships, not vehicles and mechs "spawning" in proximity. If they're going to use a spawn mechanic, the enemies should spawn 2k out from the player's Lance and trek in. Or, at the very least, come rolling out of another Base / City on the map to assist their forces who are under contact.
They failed at one thing in particular. When a Mech loses one of its legs, it is supposed to be REALLY slow afterward. As it sits right now, It's gimped for a few seconds then is able to move WAY faster than it should again.
The only REAL complaint I have is with the controls. I play with a HOTAS and it would be nice to have a "Reverse Throttle" button that I could bind. With the current setup, I have to attempt to find the middle of my HOTAS Throttle to come to a complete stop. 9/10 I miss and keep moving. With a reverse throttle bind, the HOTAS Throttle would be 0-100 for the currently selected direction.
For folks with the Thrustmaster T.16000 HOTAS setup, the paddle axis on the front of the throttle is an EXCELLENT bind for Leg turning. I prefer it over the Twist axis on the Joystick.
