Watching this "reboot/sequel" and thinking about 1999 when I saw the 1st one is haunting. Most people forgot how groundbreaking the story & of COURSE the special FX were. It influenced me to write some cool songs back then & later. Funny at my age now, the "reintroduction" of Neo to Tiffany/Trinity was sweet, old fashioned romantic destiny in the "New Matrix". My favorite parts of the film. It had its flaws, but I guess if WB was going to reboot it anyway without Lana directing, it could have been worse.
