Dan Hooper

I went into this film with zero expectations. I knew nothing about it other than I have generally not been disappointed with Pixar offerings in the past. That being said, I really loved the film. I enjoyed it from start to finish. Unlike WW84, I didn't get bored and I found this story cohesive and interesting. The characters felt real (even while animated) and the dialog was wonderful.

I will preface this by saying that I loved the first film and I thought it was a turning point for the DCU franchises. I was so wrong. It was not the worst movie I have seen and I was marginally entertained, but I found myself asking about 1/2 way through. "When is this movie going to end?" The opening scene was unnecessary and only weakly tied into the rest of the film. Pedro seems to be having fun, but he was totally wasted in this film. Kristin Wiig had one or two good scenes, but the final battle was underwhelming to say the least. The story was terrible and full of plot holes you could drive a tank through. Just a weak offering all around. I would not recommend.
