Can’t even say how glad I am to see Dexter back in his element. Even though it’s thousands of miles and a decade away from where I first fell in love with the show, Michael C Hall still has some sort of element that just makes the show so dam captivating. I would’ve watched the show regardless just for the nostalgia, but I am more than pleasantly surprised to find that the show is just as good as ever in my opinion. The cinematography is great, the writing is very strong, minus one or two clunky narrations I’ve run into so far, and the story is plenty compelling and suspenseful to keep you interested. I’ll admit I’m a little annoyed with the whole ghost Deb thing, but overall my only major complaint is that the season will end. I wish they would just go ahead and agree to put out 3 or 4 more seasons, but for now I’ll just wait for the episodes to come out week by week. Thanks to whoever got them to actually get back to it after all this time.
