I loved the visuals, the choreography, the symbolism of Ifa, and the beauty that is through out. I feel that the visuals were trying to convey that we are opulent, abundant and powerful beyond measure..I appreciate the reverence to our ancestors. The only thing was that the story line at a couple of points was confusing for me. I am probably going to watch again.
I kept thinking that I was shocked that this was on Disney+, but then again it is a very lucrative move for her and Disney. I am sure many new subscribers popped up within the last 24 hours. Not to mention the fact that many will be immersed in aspects of the African culture for the first time ever. That is pretty ironic with everything happening in the world currently. There were points when I had the chills..and other times when I just allowed myself to fully enjoy the already amazing album that features African artists that I am being introduced to and enjoy.
Favorite songs featured in visual: Already, Brown Skin Girl, Find Your Way Back, Don't You Jealous Me, Nile, Water, My Power, and Keys to the Kingdom....damn near the whole thing. It was just great to see my people shine. Visuals are powerful and Beyonce knows it.
8/3/2020 I updated my rating to 5 stars. I can't stop watching it. I can't stop listening to the album. The visuals are crazy. I appreciate the details.
