I am on chapter 7 and I am struggling with the book. I am not sure if I want to continue to read it. I guess I am exhausted of the south being made out to be inbred monsters. They were human beings with a soul and the depiction is horrific. It is shocking how ppl have tainted history, they always have to demonize. there was so much pain in that war, and instead of easing it, people like Ibrahim keep the paid alive. shame on her and this book
